Steve Nash out for 2014-2015 NBA Season (thank goodness!)

Now that Steve Nash will officially miss the entire 2014-2015 NBA season, instead of "un-officially" missing it while playing in 15 games. As a lifelong Laker fan I'd like to say this sucks, but as a life long Laker fan I know this is exactly what the team needs; another horrible year, another high draft pick.

With the Lakers set to be free of virtually all contracts by the year 2016, another first round pick with a chance to develop and a slew of cap space will turn the Lakers back into what they've always been (and always will be), the TOP free agent destination in the NBA.

Below is a look at some top players slated to be free agents in 2016:

2016 FREE AGENTS

KEVIN DURANT , JOAKIM NOAH, AL HORFORD, MIKE CONLEY, NICOLAS BATUM

2016 FREE AGENTS IF THEY OPT IN NEXT SUMMER

LEBRON JAMES, KEVIN LOVE, BROOKE LOPEZ, ERIC GORDON

2016 FREE AGENTS IF THEY OPT OUT

CHRIS PAUL, DWIGHT HOWARD, DEMAR DEROZEN
