Washington brought in $70M in taxes on legal pot in one year

This tells us two things:

First, there are not as may pot smokers as we have been led to believe.

Second, legalization does not really seem to have created pot smokers from non-pot smokers.

The actual total still represents a major harvest in profits despite constituting only a fraction of Washington’s $38 billion budget for the next two years.
